First muzzle loader bear
« on: September 25, 2011, 11:47:42 AM »
Well, got up and hit the woods yesterday morning in search of a nice blacktail. This bear here interupted me and I couldn't resist all that breakfast sausage  . Not much to tell...  I took an old grade at first light, heard some braches breaking in the clear cut above me so I made my way up to look and this bear walked into an opening infront of me at about 30 yards. BOOM.....smoke cloud and ears are ringing, smoke clears I hear nothing. I waited about 20 minutes and walked over there. He was laying on his back in the same spot I seen him. Exciting morning! The best part is my brother left work to come help me pack him out, isn't that what brothers are for! ha

Nice bear and a good brother. You owe him a steak!

Way to take advantage of what the hunt gives you... nice bear.. Congrats.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.
